Essex heritage apples, lovingly
crafted into thirst quenching cider
It’s sunshine all the way for our ciders, from when the trees first leaf, to the honey bees buzzing around the blossom, as the fruit ripens and finally when they’re pressed in our solar powered cidery!
Our orchard is still quite young and was first planted in 2013. Maintaining heritage is important to us, so the orchard is full of Essex varieties of apples including; Braintree Seedling, Chelmsford Wonder, Discovery, Montford, Frances, Nolan Pippin, Ruby Thorrington,
Dr Harvey & D’arcy Spice, laid out in a traditional orchard pattern, with good spacing between the trees.
We have a passion for keeping it local and the cider is the next step on the journey in establishing our smallholding.
OUR WORK
The Ciders
As with traditional East of England ciders, all our ciders are made with a blend of dessert and culinary apples. The result is cider that is authentically fruity, crisp, refreshing and full of character. Our ciders are not made with concentrates like many commercial ciders, or artificially sweetened. All are bottle conditioned, so a little sediment and cloudiness may be found in the bottles.
Our ciders are available as lightly sparkling in 330ml bottles and on draught in one and two litre refillable flagons.

If your apples are ripe, they will come off the tree with a gentle twist. Either pick them and have them ready for collection or we can come and pick them for you. Use the contact form below to let us know.
We would love to hear from you. If you would like to purchase some cider; we deliver locally, or you can collect from us on foot, by bike or boat! We’re also at local markets and events, including Roydon Village Market which is held on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9.30am to 1pm at Roydon Village Hall, CM19 5HH.
